I currently own and operate an upscale award-winning B&B in a restored early Victorian home in Ontario, Canada. Over the years we have acquired several watercolour paintings by Michael Burnet-Smith which we are pleased to display for our pleasure and the enjoyment of our guests. Our showpiece room, the front parlour, features a large Burnet-Smith painting over the fireplace mantle which generates many admiring comments from our guests.

In 1993, I commissioned a painting of Caversham Court’s old wooden sidegate from Michael. He delivered it on schedule, beautifully framed and ready to hang. It is always a bit of a risk to commission a painting, but Michael captured the atmosphere and the detail of this now renovated corner of Caversham Court beautifully. It was a delight to deal with this artist!
