The Black House at Christchurch Harbour Entrance, Dorset, UK.

The Black House on the Hegistbury Head side of Christchurch Harbour Entrance was traditionally

coated in tar to counteract water penetration from the south-westerly storms of the Chanel.

The tidal race between the sandbanks and Mudeford Quay carves out the channel which is deepest

on the Mudeford side which is traditional place where the fishermen land their catch.
