Tumbling weed….it was bad ash and tumbling weed here. It had a sort of primitive beauty about it. It can be difficult to paint as there is no real subject to focus on, the lava landscape is so primitive geologically it is fairly new and that has a certain beauty to it. I wanted to try and capture that primitive feel.
